About Me

Meredith Shefferman

Meredith Shefferman

I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Colorado and I have been working in the mental health field for over 15 years. I love what I do and I cannot imagine doing anything else.

A little bit about my educational background. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. I went on to earn my Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University in 2006. I completed my doctoral internship at the University of Oregon Counseling and Testing Center in Eugene, OR.

My love of the mountains brought me back to Colorado, where I worked for two years as a Primary Therapist at the Eating Disorder Center of Denver (now EDCare). For the following six years, I served as Assistant Director and Training Director of the University of Northern Colorado Counseling Center. Most recently, I worked for 9 years at the UCHealth Integrative Medicine Center where I specialized in mind-body treatment for physical and behavioral health concerns, and focused on women’s mental health and perinatal mental health.

I have devoted my career to women’s mental health care, and I have undergone extensive training through Postpartum Support International. Additionally, I am level-2 trained in EMDR and have completed certificate trainings in EFT tapping, Mindful Self-Compassion, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy.

Apart from my professional work, I am a mother of two awesome daughters and a golden doodle. Being a parent is both the most rewarding and challenging job there is, and my experience has led to my passion for working with other parents. I love hiking, skiing, coffee, chocolate, and dogs. And I’m also a sucker for reality television and musical theater. I look forward to connecting with you soon!
